Case Study Analysis
Students will be asked to describe the results of an interview they conduct with an individual
who has a disability or chronic illness. Students are not to identify the client. More information
will be provided, but generally, the interview should provide include a discussion regarding:
•relevant physical, medical, social, psychological, environmental, and vocational
information,
•developmental stage and milestone considerations;
•the individual’s adjustment process to his/her disability and the implications acceptance
or non-acceptance has had on the individual (how did you determine the client’s
adjustment? What model did you use?)
The student will then develop a conceptualization of the individual based on the above
information and discuss in their paper:
•conclusions regarding at least 3 psychosocial issues that were covered in class that appear
